Banyuls is located in the Southwest of France on the Mediterranean coast.  It is in the region Languedoc-Roussillon - Pyrénées Orientales, and is approx 40Km from Perpignan and 10Km from the Spanish border.

There are Navette (bus) services from most local Airports to the local Railway Station where you can get onward connections to Banyuls railway station.  This may avoid the need to hire a car.

The house is located on top of a headland roughly equidistant between Banyuls Town beach and Les Elmes Beach.  This area is where the Pyrénées meet the Mediterranean sea and parts of Banyuls are built on the mountainside.  This means it can be a bit hilly to walk around and many of the streets are "stepped" and inaccessible by car.

It is approx 5mins walk to Les Elmes and 7mins walk to the town beach.  It takes slightly longer coming back as it is uphill.

There is a car parking space outside the house - this is essential as parking in town or at the nearby beaches is extremely difficult during the summer months.

Banyuls railway station is 10 mins walk from the house.

There is an excellent selection of restaurants and bars in Banyuls town on the beachfront.
